This year’s exclusive Star Wars Hallmark ornament, the Emperor’s Royal Guard, will be available ONLY during Ornament Premier Weekend, July 12-13, for $15. If last year’s demand for the exclusive Tusken Raider is any indication of how popular this new trend is, the Royal Guard will be even harder to come by - so put it on your calendar now! OSWCC bids a fond farewell to Cincinnati’s premier toy and collectibles store, The Earth, which is closing it’s brick & mortar location after eight years. The folks at the Earth have been helping collectors find rare figures, arming our toys with missing weapons, and generally been a great resource to the community. While this chapter is closing, the good news is that the Earth will continue on as an online business, dealing in similar products and offering the same outstanding service. Check them out at theearthtoymall.com. The club presented the store with a thank you card, and you can check out pictures of that here. Thanks to Stacy Lehn and Doug Winstel for the photos.

This year’s Summer Social is around the corner, and we thought we’d share the badges that will be used for the event. Star Wars artist Grant Gould was kind enough to do the designs and they reflect our ongoing jawa theme for the Social. Needless to say, they turned out pretty sweet. Take a look, and then feel free to drop by his website and check out his other work.

The Social is coming July 12th in Cincinnati, Ohio, and pre-registration will begin soon. All pre-registered members will receive the appropriate badge with their name already on it. If you are a member and haven’t been on the forums in a while, stop by and check out all the latest news. If you’re interested in becoming a member, see the registration page at oswcc.com.
Looking forward to seeing you in Cincinnati!
